StAndrew the Less is a site of historic interest and I support any efforts made by the community group to restore and bring the church building and grounds back to community use. A viability will decide if the church building currently on the HAR can be restored and upgraded to include modern utilities.
I support retention of historically important features including the Grade I listed organ attached to the church building.

Crossing the Elizabeth bridge should be a pleasant experience causing active users to pause and take in the advantageous views. Provide green links between open spaces and facilitate vertical growth and urban greening where possible, including the bridge.

With reference to S/PRIA/EG and the Elizabeth Way bridge and Underpass(es) cultural hub project, parking should not be a priority; can the scheme make use of the existing carparking space on Abbey Road for visitor parking. I support car/active user conversion of underused access roads into shared surfaces: can the end of Walnut tree avenue access road be reconfigured for recreational use, with integrated urban seating and planting.

SUPPORT Resolve vehicular Traffic along Newmarket Road and East Road & underpass:
With reference to S/PRIA/EG and the Elizabeth Way bridge and Underpass(es) cultural hub community project, I support the redevelopment of the Newmarket Road pedestrian and cycle paths, and the adaptation of Elizabeth Way underpass as a public common. I support the re-design of the cardominated transport roundabout to include cycle lanes and four required pedestrian & cyclist crossings, all of which should prioritise pedestrians and cyclists over cars, and integrate practical and desired lines for better N/S and E/W connectivity.

project, car parking should never be a prioritised over public use of the urban realm. I support turning
the end of Walnut tree avenue access road into a shared surface for recreational use, offering advantageous West facing views of the river with additional integrated seating and planting - a public realm outdoors area.

Respond to public space (micro)climates and allow for green experimentation:
With reference to S/PRIA/EG and the Elizabeth Way bridge and Underpass(es) cultural hub community project, I support the redevelopment of Newmarket Road pedestrian and cycle paths to include defensive planting, hedges and trees. I support the adaptation of Elizabeth Way underpass as a public common and for its landscape offerings to be intensified. New Planting and Wildlife can be introduced within the underpass drum microclimate for the purpose of prototyping and academic experimentation with various plants.
