Brookgate Land Ltd support the use of more restrictive car parking standards across the whole area to reflect the highly sustainable location. Priority should be given to zero or low parking schemes as maintaining existing parking levels is not acceptable. Priority should also be given to electric cars and car clubs.Transport modelling work will assist in achieving this.
Reducing reliance on car parking in the AAP area employment areas is key to addressing the current dominance of car use within the existing NEC. This would reduce the impact of the NEC on the existing highway network and enable the whole area to be developed to its full potential, and for any 'trip budget' for the NEC to be reasonable, both commercially and practically
