Representation Summary:

All the walking and cycling infrastructure must be designed to be fully accessible to people with disabilities. That includes people who use adapted cycles, tricycles, tandems or mobility scooters to get around. All pathways and cycleways must be designed with parameters that are feasibly navigated by these vehicles. Interim Advice Note 195/16 from Highways England contains the concept of a 'design cycle' and was developed in consultation with the Wheels for Wellbeing charity, and may be used as a starting point, as well as the 'Inclusive Cycling Design Guide' from the aforementioned charity.
