North East Cambridge Area Action Plan Issues and Options 2019

Representation ID: 32712

Received: 22/03/2019

Respondent: Dr Roger Sewell

Representation Summary:

No. Such schemes have a hugely discouraging effect on cycle use. The cycle point near the station is a good example - nobody really wants to use it, they only do so because to some extent they are forced to. And it should by now be obvious that the Ofo and Mobike schemes in Cambridge do not in any way provide a substitute for decent bikes that people set up to suit their own cycle riding needs.
