Agree strongly there is need for more and affordable housing in Cambridge. There seems to be an imbalance in the type of housing being built in the city, especially in the private sector, with an over emphasis on high end residential units for private resale or buy-to-let, apart hotels and small one or two bedroom units without parking provision or private garden/amenity space, aimed at students and transient / young professionals. The city needs more and more secure, long-term housing that is affordable/accessible to low income (working) families. Public transport needs vast improvement and cost reduction to replace car use.
