There are already too may planned new settlements in the Cambridge sub area. They take at least 10 years to deliver any housing and are often dependant on significant infrastructure investment that may be lacking in certain market conditions.

If they are sustainable transport corridors it is a good idea but the focus should be on locations served by railway stations.

The existing Local Plans have been unduly restrictive particularly in terms of village development a number of which have suffered as a result of a lack of new housing to support existing facilities. This trend needs to be reversed.
