PE note the requirement to ensure that foul water can be
appropriately managed, as part of the overall water cycle.
We have commissioned work in this area from a suitably
qualified expert, and we expect that this will help shape an appropriate policy for the site, based on what is practical and deliverable. We are clear that ultimately the Water companies have a statutory duty to provide for waste water collection and recycling, but we are aware of the constraints locally and environmental pressures, and are committed to exploring what we can do to ensure integration into the wider network.

Whilst we support the principle of development, PE wish to
object to the Spatial Framework diagram as drawn. Further work is required to consider a range of characteristics which we anticipate will give rise to
changes. These may include such matters as:
The scale, location and extent of the development
boundary
• The scale, location, purpose/definition and extent of
the Strategic Enhancement area
• The site access points
• The location of any on site Waste Water Recycling
Centre
• The approach to integration with CSET
• The location of the “centre” or “centres”
The set of distances and proposed design mitigation
for any sensitive receptors (e.g. Roman Road SAM
and SSSI)
• Edge treatments to secure separation from the
Abingtons
• The integration of farming activities on residual land
holdings.
