Countryside are supportive of the aspirations of the policy however consider some minor amendments are required to ensure the policy will be effective.
Clarification should be provided as to what is deemed ‘appropriate’ and thresholds for on or off site provision in relation to the requirement for ‘appropriate community, cultural, education, sports and leisure provision to meet the needs generated by new developments.’ Similarly the wording should define what is considered to be large scale development.
