It is difficult to select a preferred option without the detailed implications of each; however, the ultimate choice should be selected on the benefits it offers to the ease, convenience and safety of the pedestrian and cyclist, along with the attractiveness of those routes.

It must be recognised, in the balance, that the Milton Road access into CSP is its principal vehicle access. Even with the priority focus being on sustainable transport there will also be a role for car and larger vehicles; perhaps even as autonomous vehicles in the future. A 'Milton Road solution' will need to allow for a Milton Road CSP access.
