North East Cambridge Area Action Plan Issues and Options 2019

Representation ID: 32798

Received: 24/03/2019

Respondent: Matthew Danish

Representation Summary:

I would support it all provided that urban parks or greenways are designed with social safety principles such as natural surveillance, meaning that buildings, activity and street life all face the parks and people find it natural and sensible to be present and passing through the parks at all times of day and well into the night. This doesn't apply to nature reserves but only to urban spaces where people are expected to walk and cycle at any time, and it is to ensure that people feel safe and welcome in these spaces.
