Representation Summary:

Stressing items # 3 and # 7 in the Objectives. Walking is not the same as cycling (I love both). Green space is always talked about but rarely delivered.

I support these objectives and I do not support the project if some key ones are not aggressively pursued. Namely: (1) "NEC will be a new walkable district for Cambridge that promotes easy navigation and transition between sustainable transport modes using density and critical mass to support and sustain uses." So, we need to sort out pedestrian and cycle crossing over the railway line. I also strongly support green connectivity measures like buliiding a cycle/pedestrian bridge across Milton Road. (2) Green spaces will be a core part of the place structure - this is absolutely vital. The City is more and more polluted and green space is being squeezed by constant construction. I want to see a bit local park and small parks and pedestrianised greenways (not necessarily cycle ways, which should also be included, but peaceful walking paths for people so they don't have to worry about being hit by a bike). The Science Park is building new buildings and this has involved cutting down scores of trees, further de-nuding the area. I'm concerned about 'tidying' efforts already underway on the First Public Drain.
