North East Cambridge Area Action Plan Issues and Options 2019

Representation ID: 32655

Received: 22/03/2019

Respondent: Dr Roger Sewell

Representation Summary:

Cambridge currently has a colossal rush-hour transport problem, because there are too many jobs in the city. I would support building housing on this area, subject to a suitable relocation site for the sewage works being found, but I do NOT support creation of more jobs, as more jobs would only lead to increased transport problems. Jobs need to be located OUTSIDE Cambridge in places where there is ALREADY an excess of housing provision over employment (e.g. Cambourne).
