North East Cambridge Area Action Plan Issues and Options 2019

Representation ID: 32608

Received: 19/03/2019

Respondent: Dr Ivan Smith

Representation Summary:

A new bridge would be good, but it should clearly include a road crossing. That could much reduce (dangerous) traffic on Fen Road and Water Street, because one could then close the level crossing. The current level crossing is often closed for trains to pass for 15-20 minutes at a stretch, which frustrates drivers, is problematic for emergency service vehicles etc. (I'm not a driver, I'm a cyclist, and I notice the impatience on the part of other road users as they come down Fen Road.)
