We are taking the easy option of cramming as many properties as possible into a limited space and thus reducing green space. Everybody well aware of the problems high rise cause regards being future slums. Should be building properties with gardens and open spaces for those in low height appartments. Allotments for those who will not have a garden. Know already that building this many properties will mean extra cars and we under this plan will not have sufficent space. It always amazes me that properties that were built in the 60s have room for 3 cars on the driveways and cars were still a new thing. Now we allow for 1 car when the min for most houses is 2 thus ensuring that cars will have to park oin the road and cause obstructions and friction with households, we have the chance to make a change. If this is allowed it will be used as the benchmark for all future developments in Cambridge and so cannot be allowed to happen. The designers of this scheme will not be living in high rise congested drives and no open space yet they believe other people want to live in these boxes.

no mention of recreation grounds, using off site facilities to mitigate putting them on site. If its right for these residents to use Milton Country Park, Chesterton Rec etc why can other cambridge residents then come and use these. Must ensure ample open spaces Covid as shown that people need open space not postage stamp greens and also defeat the object if you start to have to travel to other open areas. Look at space that was given to Trumpington so why should this be different. Again it goes against our planning policy.

This is current open space roamed by numerous wildlife so putting a few bat and bird boxes up does nothing to offset the loss to foxes, badgers, muntjac deer etc. Should not be looking at what we do at other sites but ensure this site as all it needs to maintain its current wildlife.

You are building homes that have residents with cars and need to access the site, so you are ensuring gridlock and parking problems. No mention of better public transport. As reported earlier larger families will have more cars but yet you do not provide the space thus ensuring problems you see on other builds were parking as tried to be curtailed. The cars will not go away so plan them in not plan them out.

Fine words but the reality is we are going to need more water and that is already running down. Houses will need power that will have to be generated employment sites will want air con plus all other electricity needs. Would be good to say what will be the water consumption for this development, the extra power needed for this site the carbon emissions from this site and then say its great for the enviroment and the City.

no calculate all water needed, power consumption, carbon emissions, against what is on the current site and then show how this helps the climate change.
