Disagree

The Governments has a policy of creating centres of economic activity to the north of England. In view of this I believe that the vision for NE Cambridge should be reassessed. The type of housing proposed, high density in blocks, will only appeal to investors, private landlords and Air B and B investors. The developers will not mind this as they will make their profit but Cambridge and its future will suffer. There is a danger of creating an inner city "ghetto" where the people employed in Cambridge will not aspire to live. Post Covid and in view of future pandemics, people will want houses with gardens and access to green areas for recreation and nature.

Probably not if the housing does not appeal to the people the centres have been planned for.

Cambridge does not need more workshops and shops within the city limits. Cambridge has no shortage of jobs. People will not want to live and work in an area that will resemble and inner city "ghetto".

This type of development does not correlate to "community". Housing people in blocks does not encourage them to meet and support their neighbours and their community.

This type of high density housing in blocks even though they are not "high rise" is not suited to Cambridge. It's unique atmosphere and appearance will be eroded. Cambridge need not be the victim of its own success. We need to spread the wealth around. The people working in the area will not aspire to live in one and two bedroom dwellings. They will only rent them temporarily and then buy in a village. This type of building will not be conducive to a community.

By all means plan squares and green areas, but after work people want to go home to a space with a garden and access to be able to excercise in the precious green belt around NE Cambridge, at Milton, Horningsea, Fen Ditton and Quy. Please do not interfere with the Wicken Fen Vision and the pathways through the Fens.

All area in the City and the surrounding villages need more speed restrictions, road narrowing schemes and alternative public transport to all areas.

Building high density blocks of housing using mainly concrete and moving sewage facilities to the green belt is certainly not responding to the climate crisis. A far more creative approach needs to be instigated, for housing and development throughout the whole country not just Cambridgeshire. This whole development is of the previous century and not envisaging the needs of the future. It seems to be "Developer" driven rather than the future needs of our society.
