Disagree

In these very uncertain times after Brexit and COVID do we need more offices and housing ? Would it not be better to sit tight and see how long the recovery from these two major changes to our lives will take , we might not recover for years so there maybe be no need to develop this area.

This area could provide good walking and cycling connections but instead of moving between offices (there does seem to be lots of offices already vacant in Cambridge so no need for more!) and houses it could be a park area with grass, trees etc and would benefit everyone and help wildlife.

New centres never take into account the infrastructure to support such large developments. They assume people will walk and cycle everywhere and only have one car per household , this is proved to be wrong, the family car is essential to people's lives, so cars will always be there blocking up the surrounding roads .

Nobody can predict how many jobs and new homes will be needed in Cambridge, if big companies like ARM move out of Cambridge, we will be creating homes that won't be needed.

Nobody can predict what the demand for future housing will be because nobody knows if the economy will recover to the same level it was before the COVID crisis or how many years that will take. It's to big a risk to invest millions to move the sewage farm that could be upgraded where it is , and because its state of the ark design we have been assured it doesn't smell as much as the present one.

No, Bigger open spaces would be better and not to move the sewage works to Green Belt land to facilitate housing that might not be needed is just stupid and wasting money.
