Greater Cambridge Local Plan: Proposed Submission

Thank you for consulting the Forestry Commission on your new proposed local plan.

We have assessed the documents and policies provided and in particular note policies for preserving, protecting and enhancing existing tree cover., including the expansion of the Greater Cambridgeshire Urban Forest.

We also note that Cambourne North proposed allocation is adjacent to an area of Ancient Woodland. However, recreational pressure assessments will be undertaken, a suitable buffer and alternative green space will be proposed.

The Forestry Commission can provide advice regarding suitable buffers and expansion of connective habitats.

We have no further comment to make.
