Meldreth is designated as a Group Village in the Local Plan. We agree with the development implications of this designation as detailed in Policy S/SH:
Policy S/SH: Settlement hierarchy
9. Residential development and redevelopment up to an indicative maximum scheme size of 8 dwellings will be permitted within the defined development extents of Group villages, as defined on the Policies Map, provided that adequate infrastructure is available or can be made available as a result of the development.
10. Development may exceptionally consist of up to about 15 dwellings where this would make the best use of a single brownfield site.
