Representation ID: 205149
Received: 30/01/2026
Respondent: Taylor Wimpey East Anglia
Taylor Wimpey supports the inclusion of Policy S/CBN: Cambourne North in the draft plan.
We commend the strategic vision for promoting balanced growth by increasing sustainable employment opportunities alongside residential development, reducing car reliance, and supporting sustainable transport. The emphasis on low-carbon development and biodiversity net gain is seen as a positive reflection of national priorities.
We encourage the LPA to provide clear guidance on phasing and infrastructure delivery to ensure timely provision of transport and community facilities.
TW request the policy be retained and strengthened through subsequent regulatory stages and express a desire for early engagement with planning officers.

The principle of development at Cambourne North is supported by Taylor Wimpey. The effective integration of the site with West Cambourne will be critical to its success, particularly through high quality pedestrian, cycle and public transport connections. We will look to work proactively with the Council and relevant stakeholders to ensure that these transport links are well located, deliverable and appropriately aligned with both the existing movement network in West Cambourne and the emerging masterplan. Ensuring that connectivity is addressed holistically will help support sustainable travel, social integration and long term placemaking objectives.
